Former coach of Sunshine stars Gbenga Ogunbote has stated that he believes the Akure based Professional Football League side will do what is just and right by ensuring that he gets paid his accrued financial emoluments bee salaries and bonuses owed while he was there as coach of the team.
Ogunbote who resigned last week Thursday as coach of the side told brila.net that he is been owed a number of months and will expect the club chaired by the Ondo State Deputy Governor to offset his entitlements due while he worked as coach of the club.
He also added that the resignation had become imperative because his integrity was also at stake with the current situation at the club.
“I didn’t resign because I have a place in mind, I just had to resign because I have to protect my integrity too, at the same time to give way for others, to make myself a sacrificial lamb so that things will be done right. I know I had an agreement and I had contract with the team, we all know that there were some financial constraints but I’m believing that they will pay me my money.”
