John Ogu and Hapoel Be’er Sheva teammate, Anthony Nwakaeme have dedicated the club’s victory against Maccabi Haifa to their fans, and Ogu has tagged it “the best Christmas gift” they could get this year.
Ogu described their 2-0 home win in Monday’s Israeli Premier League clash as a befitting result for Christmas and great way to reward their loyal fans.
An own goal by Haifa’s Allyson on 10 minutes and Nwakaeme’s 89th sizzler secured the win for Be’er Sheva, after which Ogu took to social media to express his thoughts.
The win took Hapoel Beer Sheva to the top in the league table on 33 points, and Ogu equally praised his teammates for their role in the win while stating they will not relent.
He Tweeted: Best Xmas gift tonight was getting the Win . Proud of my team efforts . We will keep working to Improve in Games Ahead . 🔴⚪️🔴
