Speaking in an interview with reporters, John Ogu said the Super Eagles has the depth and talent to go far in the FIFA Mundial.

“It’s not going to be easy. We will be out there to win games and play quality football. We have the talent and quality to go far,” John Ogu told reporters.

The 29-year-old also talked about the Eagles facing Argentina for the fifth time in the FIFA tournament, and also facing top players like Icardi, Mascherano, Di Maria and Lionel Messi.

John Ogu, however, was highly confident by saying it is time to end the Argentina jinx.

” It’s going to be Nigeria vs Argentina and not Lionel Messi vs Nigeria. As a team, we have the quality to break them down again even with the inclusion of Messi. They have had it smooth in the past, but it’s time to end that jinx against Argentina in Russia”, says Ogu.

The Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Isreal Midfielder also said he was glad to finally have a chance to represent his fatherland after been overlooked in the past, making him an unused substitute in most part of the qualifiers.
