Ogechi Joseph has insisted that Confluence Queens must not take their foot off the pedal after a strong start to the season.
Confluence Queens have a good record after three Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) matches, and their 3-0 win over Osun Babes on Wednesday increased their points to seven from a possible nine.
Ogechi maintained that the New Direction Queens must continue their good work if they want to qualify for the Super 4.
“It’s a great start for us. We’re feeling good, though. We’ve won two out of three games. We have to continue like this,” the defender told nwfl.com.ng.
“The girls really played well against Osun Babes and scores when it mattered most.”
“We played with a lot of intensity and tension, we dominated possession, we didn’t commit silly fouls and we didn’t lose the ball needlessly. We’ve matured, the team played really well today (Wednesday).
