Coach of Nigeria’s U19 Cricket national team Uche Ogbimi has stated that he hopes the Nigeria Junior Green and Yellow will come out to give an improved outing ahead of today’s crucial second group stage game against West Indies at the ongoing International Cricket Council U19 world cup in South Africa.
Ogbimi speaking ahead of today’s clash revealed that the team have had time to reflects on the opening game against Australia and the team intend to get better after a tough opener where the coach believed his team couldn’t play up to their potential.
“As a human being I’m not one for excuses, we had more runs in us than what we played and I think that understanding has gotten to the boys.
“We’ve been reflecting on that performance and the need to bat responsibly is the subject and then again making sure the mindset of the boys is in the right frame to give their best against West Indies.”
