Onuche Ogbelu came off the bench in the final moments of the first-leg CAF Champions League playoff match between Esperance and Al Ahly on Saturday night in Radès.

Ogbelu was brought on in additional time of the second half with the score still goalless between the former Champions.

Spotting the jersey number 36, he replaced left-back Mohamed Ben Hamida as the coach Miguel Cardoso ensured his team did not concede.

The 21 year-old midfielder who joined Esperance in 2023 has made 8 appearances this season in the CAF CL.

Esperance will return for the second-leg on May 25 in Cairo for the conclusion of the tie.
