Odion Ighalo revealed his daughter, Bernice, asked him to score two goals when they talked before his club, Changchun Yatai beat Guangzhou R&F 3-2 on Sunday game and he duly obliged her.

Ighalo then went on to net a brace and dedicated them to his three-year-old daughter and God.

“I dedicated the goals to God and my little girl, Bernice, who tasked me to score two goals in the game and not one,”he told SCORENigeria.

“I am glad God helped me to do what she wanted from me in the game.”

Sunday’s brace means he has now scored four goals in three games, following strikes in their previous game against Beijing Guoan and Shanghai SIPG respectively.

The Nigeria International has now scored six goals in 15 appearances for the Changchun Yatai.
