Bendel Insurance head coach, Monday Odigie has acknowledged that defensive mistakes resulted in his team drawing against RS Berkane.

The which took place on Saturday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, ended in a 2-2 draw. ​

Despite the defensive lapses, Odigie expressed satisfaction with the performance of his players during the game.

“We conceded through defensive errors at the back,” Odigie said in his post-match interview.

“At least let us all appreciate the performance of the boys against the former Confederation Cup champions.”​

The second-leg is scheduled to take place on October 1 at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane.
