Stephen Odey and Sikiru Olatubosun could be in the Matchday squad for MFM FC this weekend against FC IfeanyiUbah after the duo returned along with a contingent of the Super Eagles returned from France on Friday.
The Super Eagles arrived Lagos at about 6pm from France where they played practice friendlies against Corsica and Togo.
According to the team’s official twitter handle, the players dispersed; some stopping in Lagos as a few others continued on the journey to camp in Abuja.
For the attacking duo of Odey and Olatubosun, their return is timely.
The team has struggled in the second stanza of the league dropping five points in two matches.
In a chat with brila.net MFM FC midfielder Onuwa Chukwuka admitted the team misses the scoring touch of the league’s top scorer and his strike partner.
Meanwhile, Gernot Rohr dropped the two from the squad to face Bafana Bafana on June 10 in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Those selected will resume at the Eagles camp in Abuja where they’ll train before heading out to Uyo on Tuesday.
