Enyimba edged Shooting Stars Sports Club 2-0 in on of match day eight fixtures of the Nigeria Premier Football League in Aba on Wednesday.
A brace from Emeka Obioma was enough for the Finidi George’s team to pick all three points at the Enyimba international stadium.
Obioma got both goals in the first half of the game, with the first coming inside opening 4 minutes.
He added the second on the stroke of halftime, to condemn Shooting Stars to another defeat on the road.
Enyimba of Aba are now 2nd on the Group A log, of the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), with 16 points, from eight round of matches played so far, this season.
Sixteen points, from a possible 24, means the eight time Nigerian Champions are four (4) points, adrift of top of the log, Bendel Insurance of Benin.
