NWFL Super 6: Danjuma Hopeful Nasarawa Amazons will Halt Rut

Despite Nasarawa Amazons’ poor start in the NWFL Super6 playoffs, their Technical Adviser Christopher Danjuma remains optimistic, they’ll turn things around.

The Amazons suffered a narrow defeat against Bayelsa Queens, losing 1-0 in their second game of the tournament.

The match was decided by a late goal from Itimi Mercy in the 90th minute, leaving the Lafia Landladies still searching for their first win in the playoffs.

“If we are not in contention to win the League we (Nasarawa Amazons) would not be here for the playoffs”. Danjuma said.

“We are gonna fight till the end cause we are here to fight till the end and yes we are in contention because anything can happen in the game of football.”

On the flaws of his team, Danjuma said, “There is no team that doesn’t have it’s own flaws, every team has it’s flaws, we didn’t score a goal, we will keep working on it.”
