Head coach of Rivers Angels FC, Edwin Okon says the Nigeria Women’s Football League has improved, predicting a tough campaign for all the teams.
Okon believes the club’s have improved from last season, and so are the organisers who are working round the clock to reposition women’s football.
The seven-time Champions are in the race to win the league, but the veteran Coach is leery of the competition, but welcomes it.
“There is serious improvement in the league and I believe we will all continue to enjoy the game at this rate.
“Matches are now becoming difficult, but it’s all good, that’s part of the improvement that we want,” Okon said.
Rivers Angels are in Group A of the league, where they will still face the likes of Heartland Queens, Delta Queens, Naija Ratels and Royal Queens.
