The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced Cross River State as the host of the upcoming Championship Playoff.

The NWFL’s chief operating officer, Modupe Shabi, made this announcement on Tuesday, detailing that the playoff will take place from Saturday, August 31 to September 8, 2024.

According to Shabi, the participating clubs will be divided into four groups (A, B, C, and D), with eight matches scheduled at two venues. A total of 17 teams are expected to compete in the promotion playoff matches.

The top two teams from each group will earn promotion to the NWFL, while two teams will face relegation to the third division.
