Nasarawa united player Silas Nwankwo has expressed delight after netting his first career hattrick in the Solid Miners 5-3 win over Abia Warriors which also ended the Umuahia Warrior’s run of eight games unbeaten.
Nwankwo speaking in a chat with brila.net also revealed that he had plans to net a hattrick and emerge as the first to do so this season but had to wait for an extra week to be the second after Jude Steven netted a hattrick for Kwara united last week.
“I feel great because before this season started I mapped out this, I wanted to be the first but somebody did it last week. So I’m happy that I scored my hattrick. We needed to win our own game to be in the top four. We were not planning to end their unbeaten run we were only planing to win our game.”
