Ethan Nwaneri has missed out on a call-up from Three Lions’ manager Thomas Tuchel for the World Cup Qualifiers against Albania and Latvia this March.
Tuchel, who is set to take charge of his first official match as Three Lions Boss on March 21, left Nwaneri out of the 26-man squad announced earlier today.
Nwaneri, who is eligible to play for Nigeria and England, is open to whichever country approaches him first.
Per Shina Oludare, “A family source close to Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri tells me that the youngster will honour
whichever country-Nigeria or England-approaches him first. What is the NFF waiting for?”
His club teammates Myles Lewis-Skelly and Declan Rice made the 26-man squad for the clash with Albania and Latvia.
18-year-old Lewis-Skelly is in line for his England debut after being called up to the Three Lions for the first time by new head coach, Thomas Tuchel.
Nwaneri, 17, has played 28 games for Arsenal this season, scoring eight goals and assisting once, averaging a goal contribution every 119 minutes.
