Anthony Nwakaeme wasted no time to get his name on sheet for his team Trabzonspor in their Turkish Super Lig game against Goztepe on Friday.
The Turkish Super Lig resumed for the first time after since in March due coronavirus pandemic which has ravaged most countries.
Trabzonspor came into against Goztepe determined to secure all three points and move closer to their historical nine league title.
However, Nwakaeme gave his side deserving lead in the 16th minutes of the encounter with a fine finish.
Trabzonspor were later pegged back after Guilherme received two yellow cards inside the first 45 minutes and got sent off.
The league leaders held on and double their advantage early in the second half through Ghanaian international Caleb Ekuban, but Alpaslan Ozturk reduced the deficit for the home two minutes later.
Abdülkadir Ömür wrapped up the three points for the visitors when he scored their third goal with six minutes left on the clock.
Anthony Nwakaeme has now extend his season tally of goals to 11 in 25 games in the league alone.
The former Hapoel Be’er Sheva forward has now made 35 appearances for the club in all competitions, scored 14 goals, registered 8 assists and his goal involvement stands at every 124 minutes.
