92
Nigerian forward, Anthony Nwakaeme put the speculation surrounding his future in Saudi Arabia aside as he guided his club Al Fayha to victory against Al-Khaleej in a league match on Thursday.
Nwakaeme’s future has dominated news recently, with reports linking him with a possible return to Turkey when transfer window reopens in January.
It was claimed that the striker is unhappy with life in Saudi Arabia, and he’s keen on returning to Turkey where he made name for himself.
The veteran proved he was not affected by the speculations as he steered Al-Fayha FC to a 2-1 win away at Al-Khaleej in a Saudi Pro League match, at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium.
He scored the opening goal for his team in the first half, but the hosts equalized in the second half.
Nwakaeme later turned the game on its head by setting up the winner for his side nine minutes after the restart.
He’s now netted four goal in six matches since arriving Saudi Arabia as a Free Agent.
