Nigerian striker, Anthony Nwakaeme, is edging closer to a new deal with Turkish league leaders Trabzonspor.
Nwakaeme’s current contract will expire at the end of the season and the club has opened talks for a fresh deal with his management.
Both parties have been negotiating for the past three months and reports from Turkey have it that the agreement has now been concluded.
According to Turkish tabloid Fotomac, Trabzonspor have agreed to Nwakaeme’s demands and will offer a 24 months contract with a pay rise.
Nwakaeme has six goals and six assists in fourteen Turkish top-flight this season, including a goal and an assist in Trabzonspor’s 2-0 home win over Adana Demirspor last weekend.
He’s a goal away from equaling last season’s tally of seven from 34 matches in the league.
