Nigeria defender Nwaigwe Chichi Faith represented Nigeria proudly at the 2024 Liberia Football Association (LFA) Awards, where she was named the Best Defender in the women’s category.
Faith, who currently plays for Shaita Angels FC, was recognized for her outstanding performances in the Liberian women’s football league.
She previously played for Tigresses FC and has become a key figure for Shaita Angels.
Along with Faith, her coach and two other teammates also took home awards, highlighting the team’s collective success.
The awards, which were voted on by team captains, coaches, and accredited journalists, were presented amidst some controversy over the outcome.
However, the LFA clarified that the Federation had no involvement in the selection process and assured that the voting details would be made public in due course.
