Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali stole the headlines on Wednesday evening after producing a decisive penalty save at the death to earn Chippa United a crucial point against Sekhukhune United.
The clash at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane was fiercely contested, with the home side dominating proceedings.
Sekhukhune enjoyed the lion’s share of possession, registering 14 attempts, with 3 on target.
Despite the pressure, Chippa United broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute.
However, Sekhukhune found their equaliser through a penalty converted by Bradley Grobler in the 79th minute.
In stoppage time, Sekhukhune were handed another golden opportunity to seal all three points when the referee awarded a second penalty.
Grobler once again stepped up, but Nwabali guessed correctly, diving to his right to keep the ball out.
The striker then blazed the rebound over the bar, much to the relief of the Chippa bench.
