The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has confirmed the kick-off date for the 2024/2025 football season.

According to an official tweet from the league, the next season will begin on August 31, 2024.

NPFL chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye also confirmed the date, the week after the conclusion of the last season.

The 2023/2024 season concluded last weekend with Rangers crowned champions. Remo Stars and Enyimba finished in second and third positions, respectively.

Rangers took home a giant trophy and N150 million for winning the NPFL title – their eighth league crown.

Both Rangers and runners-up Remo Stars will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League.
