Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has praised, forward Taiwo Awoniyi’s performance in his first season in the Premier League.
Awoniyi became an instant hero at the City Ground, netting ten times to keep the Club in the topflight.
The 25-year-old also equalled several club records, including becoming the first Forest player to hit double figure in a single Premier League season since Stan Collymore in the 1994/95 season.
“We’re pleased with him. In the Premier League, you always need a player who is going to score goals. He has shown he can do that.
“Let’s hope he can work hard to take that on next season,” Cooper said after the game against Palace.
Awoniyi helped Palace finish 16th in their first Premier League season in 23 years.
