Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi has dismissed claims that the players are planning to stage a boycott of the team’s FIFA Women’s World Cup opening group match against Canada.
Ebi responded to dispel the reports that the players have concluded plans to boycott the game in Melbourne over match bonuses row with the Nigeria Football Federation.
“I have no idea where that (boycott) is coming from. We (the players) never had any such conversations as regards that; we are good with training and ready for the World Cup,” the CB told thenff.com.
The players are currently in training camp, in the Australian City of Gold Coast, preparing for the tournament.
