Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has been urged to stick with and build his main team during friendlies ahead of the world cup.
Nigeria has played two pre world cup friendlies and will face Serbia on Tuesday, but it seems ex Eagles midfielder, Garba Lawal is not impressed with the rotation of players and has advised the gaffer to be consistent with his selection.
Lawal, who represented Nigeria at the 1998 world cup, has also served as a member of the Nigeria Football Federation Technical Committee.
On Friday, three fringe players were handed starters’ places against Poland – and though the Coach has reiterated the need to give the new faces in the team more game time, Lawal believes the experimentation could be counter productive.
The former Eagles star told Brila.net that world cup tournament “is not very far” [sic] and so, the Coach “should field the best players he has picked for the world cup.”
