No Return date for Injured Alhassan Yusuf

Super Eagles boss Jose Peseiro is likely to be without midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf in the final Group A clash with Guinea-Bissau on Monday.

Yusuf also missed the 1-0 win over Cote d’Ivoire last Thursday, as he continues his recovery from a muscle injury.

The 23-year-old picked a knock during Nigeria’s opening game against Equatorial Guinea last Sunday and is yet to fully recover.

He was arguably the best player on the pitch, before unfortunate incident, and the 23 year-old has continued to train alone but is making progress.

Speaking during Sunday’s pre-match conference, Jose Peseiro suggested that it may be too soon for the midfielder to return to action.

Peseiro however can call on Raphael Onyedika to partner Frank Onyeka in the middle.

The three time African champions will trade tackles with the Djurtus at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

Nigeria sits second on the table and need just a point to book an automatic round of 16 ticket.

The Djurtus on the hand have been eliminated following back to back defeats to Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea.
