No Plan for Domestic Basketball in Nigeria – Yahaya

Nigeria’s D’Tigers and Abidjan basketball club of Ivory Coast player Abdul Yahaya believes that there is no plan for domestic basketball in Nigeria and as insists a bleak, uncertain future looms for the sport in Nigeria.

Yahaya said in a chat with www.brila.net that the situation with Nigeria’s domestic basketball is terrible and one full of just talks with no plan for the players and no action to even ensure players get engaged in a season.
“There is nothing happening in Nigeria, it’s just talk, talk and talk.
“The ballers, everybody is at home, nobody is been paid and there is no space to even go anywhere because everywhere is locked down.
“In Nigeria the basketball we play is just from hand to mouth. Basketball is not even in any shape to talk about. Because for how many years now, there is nothing talk less of now that we have Corona virus.”
