No Haste In Appointing the Best for Super Eagles – Alloy Agu

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu says the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) should take time to appoint the right coach for the team, rather than rushing the decision.

Agu emphasized that the time it takes to appoint a head coach should be secondary to ensuring that the selected candidate is the best fit for the role.

The former goalkeeper argued that if the NFF appoints a top-quality technical crew, time becomes irrelevant.

He urged the Federation to take their time to make the right choice, ensuring that Nigeria can build a strong foundation for future success.

“Whatever we’re doing now, is just for us to make sure we have the right peg in the right hole,” said Agu. “There’s no need for appointing and then sacking the next day.”

“It’s very important we look deep and concentrate and get the best, then we can build on from that,” he continued.

“If we get the best hands, the best legs, the best coach and technical crew, eventually Nigeria will be happy. No matter how long it had taken, the most important thing is that we get it right.”

“My prayer is that we get the best, and we get the right result that we all clamor for.”
