Super Eagles and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen, remains doubtful for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Osimhen was absent from Napoli’s training on Monday.

The forward has been sidelined since sustaining an injury during Napoli’s home defeat to Bologna two weeks ago, and subsequently missed their clash with Fiorentina last weekend.

According to Napoli’s official website, Osimhen engaged in gym work on Monday.

His participation in the upcoming match against Lecce remains in doubt, raising concerns about his availability for Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Super Eagles are set to face Bafana Bafana at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 7.

Next comes the match against Benin Republic at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, three days later.
