Nnadozie Relishes Win against Real Madrid

Paris FC secured their first points of UEFA Women’s Champions League the group phase with a 2-1 win over Real Madrid.

Nigerian shot-stopper Chiamaka Nnadozie was pivotal to the victory, saving a first half penalty from Spain’s World Cup winner Olga Carmona.

The heroic performance lifted the French side to third and send Real Madrid to the bottom of Group D.

“We have been training so hard to win this game after two defeats. The game is there to win and we did just that,” Nnadozie said.

“On the penalty, I’m happy to help the team win important game and to keep the morale high.”

The recently voted Africa best Goalkeeper has now stopped four spot kicks in the competition so far.

In the other Group game, BK Häcken of Sweden forced Chelsea to a goalless draw – the first time Chelsea have failed to score this season.

The Swedish topflight side retained their spot atop Group D with seven points while Chelsea stays second with five.
