Nigeria’s Super Falcons to Canada in Friday’s international friendly match in Vancouver.

Two second half goals gave Canada victory in the first leg of the double header international friendlies.

Jessie Flemming (51′) and Vanessa Gilles (71′) netted the goals, undoing Randy Waldrum’s  defensive strategy.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics Champions took the lead five minutes after the restart.

Fleming fired past the Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, who later left the pitch due to injury.

Gilles made it 2-0 for the hosts with a nice finish to effectively kill off the contest.

The Falcons tried to half the deficit, but Canada stood firm and saw out the win in front of their teaming fans.

Waldrum’s side have a chance to redeem themselves in the second leg on Tuesday.
