Super Falcons’ goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie says the team is determined to participate at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Despite being nine-time champions, Nigeria has failed to qualify for the Olympics in 16 years.

Nnadozie was part of the Nigerian team that narrowly missed out on qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

However, she remains optimistic and determined to help her team secure a spot in the Paris Games.

To qualify for Paris 2024, Randy Waldrum’s team will need to overcome reigning African champions, South Africa, in a two-legged fixture scheduled for next month.

Speaking to CAFonline about her aspirations, Nnadozie shared her thoughts on missing out on the previous Olympic Games and her renewed commitment to securing a place in the upcoming tournament.

She said, “Not being able to qualify for the 2020 Olympics was disappointing initially, but I reminded myself that there’s still time and upcoming opportunities.

“I am determined to help the team qualify this time around because I want to experience the thrill of participating in the Olympic Games.”
