Pamplumoes SC of Mauritius’ Nigerian player, Gabriel Samuel, has dedicated the FA Cup trophy he helped his side win to God.
Gabriel, who had a stint with the Nigeria U-17 team, told brila.net that he remains happy to have been part of the team that won the Republic Cup which is the FA Cup in Mauritius adding that the focus will now be on the league.
“I dedicate this trophy to God, mum, my family, siblings, and friends. I’m so happy to be a winner. When in Nigeria, I never won a trophy not to mention having such a feeling.
This is the first time in Mauritius winning a trophy. I must confess that words can’t express how happy I feel. Now we are trying to shift back focus on the league to see if we can make it a double.”
