The Nigeria government through the Senate committee on sports is throwing its full weight behind the Country’s 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign and have promised to provide “all the support” the Eagles need to triumph against Cameroon in the qualifiers.
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, Solomon Ogba per Richard Jideaka [Complete Sport] assured the NFF of its support to ensure the home and away fixtures against Cameroon lacks nothing of financial support.
Nigeria play the African Champions next month; home and away, when the world cup qualifiers resume and Ogba has assured of a his Committee’s readiness to liaise with the FA.
“We are working in liaison with the NFF to ensure that Super Eagles beat Cameroon to grab the group ticket for the World Cup.
“We are giving the NFF all the support they need to get the results that will see Nigeria’s flag fly in Russia,” He explained.

“I am confident that the Super Eagles will beat the Lions of Cameroon in Uyo next month and get a good result in Yaoundé in the second leg days later. The Eagles know what is at stake and will do the right thing to be there.”
He also commended Coach Gernot Rohr for the good work he has been doing with the Super Eagles but warned that all that will amount to nothing if the team fail to beat Cameroon In Uyo.
Nigeria lead African qualifying Group B with six points from two matches, while Cameroon have just two points.
