Nigerian Prodigy Chiamaka Okwuchukwu Joins San Diego Wave FC

Nigerian forward Chiamaka Okwuchukwu has signed a one-year deal with San Diego Wave FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

The 19-year-old joins the American club from Nigeria Women’s Premier League side Rivers Angels.

This follows her remarkable performances at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, where she scored twice and provided one assist in four matches.

The transfer is pending a medical examination, International Transfer Certificate (ITC), and P1 Visa approval.
