The English Premier League has revealed the fixtures for the opening weekend of the 2024/25 season, with the teams of some Super Eagles stars getting tasty fixtures.

Additionally, other Nigerian players may join the league before the transfer window closes.

The EPL will kick off on Friday, August 16, with a single match.

Manchester United will face Fulham at Old Trafford. Manchester United, under Coach Erik Ten Hag, will look to start the season strong, building on their success from the previous season, where they defeated league champions Manchester City 2-1 in the FA Cup final.

In their last encounter of the previous season, Fulham defeated Manchester United 2-1, with Calvin Bassey scoring his first goal for Fulham and Alex Iwobi sealing the win in extra time, delivering a crushing blow to Manchester United fans.

On Saturday, Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina, who both play for Nottingham Forest, will be in action at the City Ground as they host AFC Bournemouth.

On Sunday, Frank Onyeka will play for Brentford as they host Crystal Palace at the Gtech Community Stadium, aiming for a strong start to their campaign.

The league champions Manchester City will begin their title defense against Chelsea, now coached by Enzo Maresca.

Should Victor Osimhen join Chelsea, his inclusion would add extra excitement to this highly anticipated match.
