Nigeria vs Seychelles – Kick off time confirmed

Today’s AFCON qualifying match between Nigeria and Seychelles is a dead rubber tie as the Super Eagles already have a ticket to the biennial tournament and the Pirates of Seychelles have zero chance of pulling through.

That said, a harvest of goals is likely on the cards as players of the Super Eagles already said they are not willing to take their feet off the pedal and are targeting to end the qualifying series on a beautiful note.

Technical Adviser of the Eagles side Gernot Rohr has also said he wants former Watford forward Odion Ighalo to finish as the top scorer for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.

“We will support Ighalo to emerge as the highest scorer at the AFCON qualifiers. He is on six goals the same as the Burundi player(Fiston Abdul Razak) but we will do our best to help him to silence his critics who wrote him off after the World Cup,” Rohr told journalists.

Indeed, confidence is high in the camp of the Super Eagles ahead of Friday’s tie at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, in what kicks a loaded timetable of football action in the Delta State capital.

Nigeria has already qualified for the competition in Egypt but are using the game to also prepare for the tournament.
