Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho might start in goal for Nigeria against the Central African Republic in the FIFA World Cup qualifying match on Thursday.
Head coach Gernot Rohr confirmed first choice, Maduka Okoye is doubtful for the Thursday’s encounter, after arriving late to the camp.
The Sparta Rotterdam shot-stopper arrived the team’s camp in Lagos on Tuesday eveing and was able to train with the team on Wednesday.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday, Rohr confirmed the 22-year-old could be drop to the bench. This means, second choice, Francis Uzoho could be called upon.
“It’s really not enough,” the 68-year-old said his team preparations.
“Fortunately, we have some players who arrived for Monday’s training session so we could have a short one with some of them.
The Super Eagles sit at the top of Group C after wins against Liberia and Cape Verde Islands in their opening fixtures.
