Nigeria take on Benin Republic on Wednesday, in the first of the two AFCON 2021 qualifiers this month, but how will the Super Eagles set out: What will they wear, Who will Gernot Rohr start and When exactly is the kick-off?
What Will the Super Eagles Wear?
The NFF is opting for the very famous patterned designed jersey, which is also Nigeria’s home kit.
Who Starts against Benin?
Gernot Rohr is expected to stick with several names from the international friendly against Brazil last month with a few additions. Here’s our predicted Starting XI:
Daniel Akpeyi
Semi Ajayi (Omeruo injury doubt)
William Troost-Ekong
Chidozie Awaziem
Jamilu Collins
Wilfred Ndidi
Joe Aribo
Alex Iwobi
Samuel Kalu
Victor Osimhen
Samuel Chukwueze
When does the Game Kick-off?
Nigeria traditionally plays competitive fixtures in CAF related competitions on Weekends, so this is a break from that norm; happening midweek.
The kick-off has also been moved from by an hour to 5pm in consideration of the working population in Uyo. Thus the Eagles and Squirrels will tango under the floodlights of the Akwa Ibom Stadium.
