Flying Eagles head coach, Aliyu Zubairu has revealed that his team has closely studied Ghana’s Black Satellites to prepare effectively for their WAFU B Championship final clash on Wednesday.
The Flying Eagles are determined to retain the title, and Zubairu expressed confidence in his team’s preparations and their objective for the game is clear.
Speaking to Brila.net, Zubairu disclosed that his team has analyzed Ghana’s style of play and identified key areas to exploit.
“We are very much ready. We’ve been watching them to understand how they play. They are a good side too, but what we’ve realised is that in terms of intensity, they are very slow,” Zubairu said.
He further explained his tactical approach for the match.
“We hope to raise the intensity of this game; if we are quicker than them, it is going to give us an advantage plus some other tactical approach which I won’t disclose yet.”
Having already secured a ticket to next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations, the Flying Eagles are now focused on bringing the WAFU B trophy back to Nigeria.
The final kicks off at 8 PM (Nigerian time) on Wednesday at the Stade de Kégué in Lomé, Togo.
