Super Falcons midfielder, Rasheedat Ajibade has expressed the team’s unwavering determination to secure a spot at the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

Nigeria, undeterred by their arch rivals, gear up for a pivotal clash against Cameroon at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, on Monday, as they aim to advance to the final round of the African qualifying series.

“Our objective remains getting the Olympics ticket,” Ajibade said. “Personally, I have never played at the Olympics, and that is the case with an overwhelming majority of players in this team.”

“We are determined to take this opportunity, focused on a positive result in the upcoming 90 minutes.”

After a goalless draw in Douala, the outcome of the second leg holds immense significance as the winner will face reigning African champions, South Africa.

The Super Falcons last featured in the 2008 Olympic.
