Nigeria has seen limited action this year, having played only twice.

Their recent matches included a goalless draw against Cameroon in Douala and a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture.

Next month, they are set to clash with South Africa in the final qualifying round for the 2024 Olympic Games, promising an intense battle for Olympic qualification.

On the continental front, South Africa positioned second experiencing a slight improvement, moving up one place.
