Nigeria is the Best — Asisat Oshoala

Asisat Oshoala revealed she want to continue her journey with the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Oshoala has come under increasing pressure following underwhelming performance in the Green and White colors.

However, she picked Super Falcons’ second game at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup to respond to critics.

Coming off the bench she was a big impact as Nigeria produced a scintillating performance against a talented Australian side buoyed by the roar of a home crowd.

The Nigerian forward forced a corner that led to Nigeria’s second goal, before scoring the third in the 3-2 win over the Aussies.

With the goal, the 28-year-old becomes the first African to score in three FIFA Women’s World Cup finals.

“I want to fight for this badge, this is the best country in the world,” Oshoala, speaking after the game. “Everyone went out to play their heart out.”

“This team has a lot to offer, and the world has seen that today.

“I want to fight for this badge; this is, you know, the best country in the world. Nigeria for life!”

With four points from two games, the players can dare to dream of further progress in the tournament.
