Nduka Ugbade has stated he desperate to win his first Africa U17 Cup of Nation, having failed to in 1985 as a player and a Coach in 2013.
Although he went on to win the FIFA U17 World Cup as a player [1985] and a Coach [2013], Ugbade insists he’s more determined to change the narrative in Tanzania this year.
The 13th edition of the tournament will hold in Tanzania with Nigeria drawn in Group A alongside host nation Tanzania as well as Angola and Uganda.
In a telephone interview on Brila FM’s Sports Machine, Ugbade spelt his personal ambition as well as the team’s:
‘I have never won the competition and I want to, but, more so, the objective is to win three group matches. Do so to firstly, qualify for the world cup.’
