Nigeria, Falcons have Potential to Dominate the World – Danjuma

Former Super Falcons Chris Danjuma says the Country deserves a standard Women’s Professional Football League with the potential to help improve the respective national teams.

In a chat with brila.net Danjuma insists Nigeria can rule the world in Women’s football if efforts are geared towards building a professional league that ticks all the right boxes and has the semblance of the standard in top Women’s footballing nations.

The Coach also suggested a standard league will make selecting players for the Super Falcons competitive; opting for a 50-50 system of players based in the Country and players abroad.

“I believe by now we should have a blueprint, having seen teams making waves in the world; the structure and programmes they have,” Danjuma told brila.net.

“We should gear everything towards making our league very viable; building the standards and the players. I know the financial muscle is not there but to an extent the ones we have we should be able to augment.

“At that point when you select for the national team we could go 50-50; that’s of players in the league and the foreign based players.

“If we can successfully mix the two, I bet we will rule the world.”
