Nigeria’s home based Eagles will test their mettle against Sierra Leone in the bid to reach the group stage of the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations.
The Eagles were pitched against the Leone Stars in the round robin stage on Thursday when the draw held in Accra, Ghana.
According to the organizers, the winners from the first round will form Groups A and B.
Zone A fixtures in Sekondi Takoradi: Ghana vs Gambia, Nigeria vs Sierra Leone, Mali vs Mauritania, Guinea vs Guinea Bissau.
Zone B fixtures in the Cape Coast: Senegal vs Liberia, Burkina Faso vs Niger, Cote D’Ivoire vs Togo and Benin vs Cape Verde.
The Black Stars get the competition underway against Gambia on 9th September at the Sekondi Sports Stadium in Sekondi Takoradi.

Ghana retained hosting rights to the competition for the second straight edition after they hosted four years ago.
According to competition rules, only players registered for their various National championships are eligible to play.
Prize money for this edition of the Wafu Cup of Nations is US$100,000.
Meanwhile, CAF Vice President and Ghana FA Boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi disclosed at the draw ceremony that the Continental body will hold its Executive meeting on the final day of the WAFU Nations Cup.
