Nigeria-born and Former USA U-20 defender Jalil Anibaba has praised his fatherland’s “almost fantastic” run in the recently concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup.
In an interview with brila.net‘s Tony Bekederemo, Anibaba applauded the efforts of the Nigerian National team in Russia despite their early ouster at the FIFA Mundial.
“I think the Super Eagles have done the Nation, Nigeria proud,” The former Seattle Sounder FC player stated.
“The guys really showed character, they showed us Nigeria has the capacity to compete with other footballing Nations at the highest level”
The 6ft defender who currently plays for Major League Soccer side, New England Revolution also shared his admiration for the French National team, tagging them the best team at the World Cup.
