Karim Adeyemi was on target on his debut appearance for Germany’s senior national team against Armenia on Sunday.
The 19 year old was included in coach Hansi Flick’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match and he justified his selection.
Adeyemi was thrown into the thick of the action in the 72nd minutes. He took the place of Bayern Munich star Serge Gnary on the pitch.
It didn’t take too long for Adeyemi to announce himself to the German fans as he found the back of the net with his third touch of the game.
The Salzburg of Austria forward scored the goal in the 91st minutes, following an assist from Florian Wirtz.
Serge Gnary scored in the 5th and 12th minute to give the Germans a bright start, before Marco Reus and Timo Werner added two goals in the 35th and 45th minute respectively.
Jonas Hofmann made it 5-0 two minutes into the second half, before Adeyemi completed the rout.
