NFF Unveils Plans for Men’s CAF-C Coaching Program

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau has announced plans to initiate a CAF-C coaching course for men. This follows the launch of a similar program exclusively for women.

Speaking on Monday at the opening ceremony of the three-module CAF-C License Coaching Course for women in Abuja, Gusau assured that men will also benefit from such initiatives in the coming weeks.

“FIFA has consistently prioritized women’s football, and we are happy to follow suit,” Gusau said.

“FIFA has been putting much premium on women football over the years, and we are also happy to follow suit. Women football continues to grow worldwide, and our country should not be any different.

“Whatever we are doing, without training those who train the footballers, we are not doing anything meaningful.

“Those who train the players must continuously improve their own capacity in knowledge of modern tactics and techniques in order to make our teams much better.”

The NFF Chief also revealed plans for a CAF-B course next year and potentially a CAF-A course the year after.

The women’s program is divided into three modules. The first module runs from July 15th to 25th, followed by a two-week internship from July 27th to August 7th.

Participants will return to Abuja for the second module from August 12th to 20th, then go on another two-week internship from August 23rd to September 4th. The third module, including examinations, will take place from September 9th to 19th.
