Following the failure of the Super Eagles to qualify for the World Cup, The Nigeria Football Federation have withdrawn the contract they offered Austin Eguavoen and Emmanuel Amuneke.
The FA also announced that the technical crew headed by the two former Super Eagles Stars have been disbanded with immediate effect.
Eguavoen and Amuneke were initially offered two-year-ans half contract, after coming on board as replacement for Gernot Rohr.
However failure to qualify the team for the World Cup in Qatar has now forced the Nigerian Football Governing Body to another direction.
“We thank the coaches and team officials for their service to the nation and wish them success in their future endeavours,” said NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi.
The FA also revealed that new crew will be announced after a proper review to lead the new charge of reinvigorating the Super Eagles to face future challenges appropriately.
