President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has urged the newly inaugurated Futsal/Beach Soccer committee members to collaborate and develop ideas that will make beach soccer a prominent sport in Nigeria.

During the inauguration ceremony in Abuja, Gusau highlighted the committee’s role, stating, “The mandate is for the committee to sit down and give us some advice on how we are going to continue managing the league going forward. And obviously, based on the advice of the committee, we intend to make sure that from now on we participate in whatever competition that will come as far as this soccer is concerned.”

He added, “Nigeria is not a small country that will start counting countries in Africa, doing certain things that were not there. If we say we do that, we are not fair to Nigerians, we are not fair to ourselves. So whatever it will take for us to make sure that we bring Nigeria back, that is what we are going to do.”

Gusau assured the committee of financial and administrative support, promising to integrate beach soccer into the broader activities of the NFF.

“I just want to assure you that financially, what I do, the way we have been managing and running other activities in NFF, we do our best to ensure that we bring back each soccer into the role of activities in NFF.”
